You might have stumbled upon this article and are a U.S. citizen interested in buying property in Canada and the short answer is yes, U.S. citizens can buy property in Canada. In fact, Canada welcomes buyers from all over the globe and there is no restriction on the amount or kind of real estate you can buy if you are not considered to be a permanent Canadian resident.
